1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PDF Metadata Studio ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Sytec AI ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Service Description

PDF Metadata Studio is a web-based application that provides:

  • PDF document metadata viewing and editing
  • Support for Dublin Core, IPTC, PDF/UA, XMP, and other metadata formats
  • Image extraction and metadata analysis
  • Metadata template management
  • Document processing and ZIP export functionality
  • Subscription-based access to premium features

    • 3. Eligibility

    To use this Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

    • 4. Account Registration and Responsibilities

    4.1 Account Creation

    You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to:
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information as needed
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

    5. Subscription Plans and Billing

    5.1 Subscription Tiers

    The Service offers multiple subscription tiers:
  • Free Tier: Limited to 5 PDF documents (lifetime limit)
  • Premium Tier: $97/month for 200 documents per month
  • Enterprise Tier: $297/month for 1,000 documents per month

    • 5.2 Payment Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • Payments are processed through Stripe
  • All fees are in U.S. Dollars (USD)
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

    • 5.3 Automatic Renewal

    Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method for renewal fees.

    5.4 Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

    5.5 Price Changes

    We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

    6. Acceptable Use Policy

    6.1 Permitted Uses

    You may use the Service to:

  • View, edit, and export document metadata
  • Create and manage metadata templates
  • Download processed documents

    • 6.2 Prohibited Activities

    You agree NOT to:
  • Upload documents you do not have the right to process

  • Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use automated tools to access the Service (scraping, bots)
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Upload obscene, defamatory, or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect user information without consent

    • 6.3 Content Restrictions

    You may not upload documents containing:
  • Copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Confidential information belonging to others
  • Personal data in violation of privacy laws
  • Illegal or harmful content

    • 7. Intellectual Property Rights

    7.1 Service Ownership

    The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Sytec AI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    7.2 Limited License

    We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.

    7.3 User Content License

    By uploading documents to the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
  • Store and process your documents
  • Extract and analyze metadata
  • Generate processed documents
  • Provide the Service functionality

    • This license terminates when you delete your documents or close your account.

    7.4 Ownership of User Content

    You retain all ownership rights to your uploaded documents and metadata. We do not claim ownership of your content.

    7.5 Feedback

    Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.

    8. Disclaimers and Warranties

    8.1 "AS IS" Service

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

    • 8.2 No Guarantee of Results

    We do not guarantee that:
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Metadata extraction will be 100% accurate
  • The Service will be available at all times
  • Errors will be corrected
  • The Service is free from viruses or harmful components

    • 8.3 User Responsibility

    You are solely responsible for:
  • Verifying the accuracy of extracted metadata
  • Backing up your original documents
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • The consequences of using the Service

    • 9. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

    9.1 No Liability for Damages

    WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of data or documents
  • Loss of business opportunities
  • Cost of substitute services
  • Any other intangible losses

    • 9.2 Maximum Liability

    OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

    9.3 Exceptions

    Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

    10. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sytec AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your uploaded content
  • Your negligence or willful misconduct

    • 11. Termination and Suspension

    11.1 Termination by You

    You may terminate your account at any time by:
  • Using the account deletion feature in your dashboard

    We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in prohibited activities
